Welcome to the Fighting Kangaroo

the number 1 backpacker hotel in Dahab!

Smack bang in the center of Dahab and only a lazy hop from the beach, the Kangaroo is a great base while you're in Dahab. Surrounded by leafy gardens, you can relax away for the bustle, or get out straight into the action in the surrounding bars and restaurants. If you're more the self-sufficient type the Kangaroo had a kitchen and lots of fridge space for your self catering pleasure.

We have 13 rooms with fan or air conditioning - see the prices on the left of the page. All our rooms have en suite bathrooms with hot water showers.

We have special rates for long term residents (1 month and more) so if you're planning to come to Dahab to take you divemaster course, to work here, for a long holiday or you simply get stuck here longer than planned (it happens!) we can help you out!

Relax, you're in Dahab! - Chill out area and terraces at the Kangaroo

The Kangaroo has plenty of outside space for you to enjoy with a chill out area. All the rooms open onto terraces with tables & chairs where you can take advantage of our free WiFi.

If you want to get out and about the Kangaroo is right in the middle of all the dive centers, shops, restaurants and bars. Check out our location on http://ilovedahab.com/yellowpage/inc-gmap.php?id=112

We have snorkeling gear for hire so all you have to do is cross the road, drop into the water and you're on the world famous reefs of the Red Sea (just watch the coral please!).

We can local safaris and guided snorkeling upon request.

The Kangaroo's restaurant is between the rooms and the sea, serving extremely reasonably priced, good, tasty food!

What more could you ask for...? Well the Kangaroo offers a laundry service and has very friendly English speaking management and the true laid back, welcoming Dahab atmosphere which is, as they say, priceless.

We hope to see you soon, and if we've already seen you, we look forward to seeing you again!
